With their thin, sharp crust and irregular open crumb, a sublime flavour derived from a lengthy fermentation, the baguette is the baker’s bread of choice.   You’ll learn about the particular mix of flours and the long proving involved in making a great “stick”, along with plenty of hands-on shaping, slashing and baking so that you return home with your skills enhanced, your repertoire extended.

Working in a companionable, supportive environment of like-minded souls determined to take back control of their food’s provenance, you’ll be leaving us with – in addition to all you bake and the recipes from the day – the knowledge, skills and confidence to bake for your family and friends back home.
